We created Aljezur Alcova so you feel at home — even far from it.
An alcova is a quiet nook made for resting. That is the promise we keep in each of our houses: whitewashed walls that breathe the town’s history, warm corners for a slow coffee and the good silence of finally slowing down.
We are in the heart of the Southwest Alentejo and Costa Vicentina Natural Park, right in Aljezur’s historic centre — steps from the castle and minutes from Praia de Monte Clérigo, voted Best Beach in Europe in 2026. Here the hills and the wild sea are within easy reach, and we welcome each guest with the closeness of someone who knows these streets by heart.

What time are check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 4 pm and check-out until 10 am. Need different times? Talk to us — whenever possible, we’re flexible.
Where can I park?
There is free public parking near the houses, in the historic centre, with no reservation possible. As the old town is narrow, car access to the door is limited.
What’s included in the stay?
Bed linen and towels, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, cable TV and a fully equipped kitchen — with coffee machine, toaster, kettle, hand blender and iron.
What’s not included?
The houses have no washing machine or dishwasher, and we don’t include cleaning during the stay. For longer stays, talk to us to arrange an extra clean.
Are pets allowed?
No. For the comfort of all guests, the houses do not allow pets.
Suitable for families with children?
Yes. Each house has a double bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room — Bárbara sleeps up to 3 and Sapateiro up to 4. A cot is available on request.
Is smoking allowed?
The houses are non-smoking. You may smoke outdoors, with care.
How do I book and pay?
Send your request through the form or via WhatsApp. We confirm availability and send the payment and check-in details.
Can I rent a car or get help with transfers?
Yes. We can help arrange a car rental — handy for exploring the beaches and the Costa Vicentina.
